After the great successes of the previous two years, the regional Allplan student competition will be organized again for the third time in a row. It is one of the most important and largest professional gatherings that will bring together 17 architecture faculties and 25 construction faculties from 6 Balkan countries.
The host of the Allplan student competition in 2023 is the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Rijeka. The regional competition will be held from 19.-21. July 2023. The initiators of the initiative and organizers of the event are Baldinistudio d.o.o. and Baldinistudio International, and general sponsor ALLPLAN and Nemetschek Company.
This competition is unique in its kind in the world and the region. As such, it was launched with the aim of modernizing the higher education of engineers and promoting BIM work methods. The Allplan Student Competition is exactly what the students in this area were missing – an opportunity to learn and progress in the modern BIM way of designing, understanding a new approach to business, a pleasant working atmosphere in the environment of colleagues from the entire region, exchange of experiences and friendships that last a lifetime.
The main purpose of the 2023 student competition is to promote the BIM way of working through the use of the Allplan program. In addition, the event has several special goals, among which the promotion of digitization in the construction industry, the strengthening of the engineering profession and the profession, the creation of a regional network of engineers, the connection of the faculty and the economy, and the increase of the competitiveness of students should be singled out.
Unique in its scope and significance, this competition is a good opportunity for students of architecture and construction who, through work tasks, team projects and presentation of their work, creativity and resourcefulness, will measure their knowledge and become familiar with solving real design tasks.
