ERASMUS+ is a program of the European Union for education, training, youth and sport. By decision of the European Commission, the University of Rijeka was granted a new Erasmus university charter in 2021 for participation in the Erasmus+ program in the period from 2021 to 2027 ( Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 101005205-UNIRI ). The planned budget for the seven-year period of the Erasmus+ program is 26 billion euros. New activities for the mentioned period are shorter mobilities for students, combined mobilities, combined intensive programs, mobilities with partner countries and cooperation projects. It is planned that 12 million people will have the opportunity to study or improve their skills abroad within the Erasmus+ program.
