We are pleased to invite you to the lecture Wood Mineralisation, which will be held this Friday, 6 June 2025 at 13:00, in room G-312, as part of the Friday Scientific and Teaching Meetings.
The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Tereza Majstrikova from the Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic.
This lecture will focus on the research activities carried out by Dr. Majstrikova’s team on mineralisation treatments, primarily based on organosilanes, and more recently, on cement-based powders. The presentation will highlight the results of analyses on how mineralisation affects the durability and mechanical properties of wood, with an emphasis on the potential application of renewable and waste materials.
