The laboratories of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Rijeka consist of:
- Geotechnical Laboratory
- Hydrotechnical Laboratory
- Structures Laboratory
- Laboratory for Materials
- Laboratory for Transportation Engineering
The largest part of the laboratory equipment was purchased as part of the project „Development of Research Infrastructure on the Campus of the University of Rijeka- RISK“ (ERDF, 2014-2015). It is the largest project carried out at the University of Rijeka, and one of the first projects financed from the Structural Funds of the European Union in Croatia in general. The project is the result of the University’s efforts to acquire new and modernize existing research infrastructure, as well as active participation in research that will be implemented in the high-quality research and collaborative projects with industry, and significantly improve the regional competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. The implementation of the project started on April 19, 2014 and ended on December 18, 2015. The total value of the project was EUR 23.914.267.56.
A small part of the laboratory equipment was acquired over a long period of time and financed from different sources and as part of different scientific research projects.
