The Faculty of Civil Engineering in Rijeka publishes works that are the result of research, teaching and professional work of the Faculty’s staff. As part of its publishing activities, the Faculty issues scientific and professional journals, edited books, monographs and other publications in the field of civil engineering and related technical and scientific disciplines. The issues are published in electronic and printed form, and some publications are published in cooperation with other scientific and educational institutions.
With its open access policy, the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Rijeka supports the principles and goals of the Croatian Declaration on Open Access, which defines open access as free, open-access, and unhindered online access to digital scientific information that enables reading, storing, disseminating, searching, retrieving, indexing, and/or other lawful use.
The publication activity of the Faculty, the composition and work of the Committee for the Publication Activity of the Faculty, the conditions and procedures for the publication of manuscripts of employees and/or external collaborators of the Faculty intended for publication as publications of the University of Rijeka and/or the Faculty, the procedure for the publication of proceedings of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Rijeka, as well as the availability and visibility of the publications of the Faculty are defined in the Regulation on the Publication Activity of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Rijeka.
Annual edition of the Faculty of Civil Engineering is journal Zbornik radova. It started publishing in 1972. Since book XI (2008), it is regularly published in printed and electronic form and is available in open access on the Faculty’s website. From book XIX (2016) Collection is also available on the Hrčak portal.An international scientific journal Engineering Review is published by the Faculty of Engineering in Rijeka and the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Rijeka. The journal is published three times a year and has been available in open access since 2006. It is indexed in numerous databases, including SCOPUS and Web of Science.
