Over a longer period of time, increasing the number of research projects is one of the most important strategic goals of the Faculty. In order to achieve the set goal, open calls for proposals are constantly monitored, workshops are organised, and research project proposals are actively applied with research institutions and companies from the business sector. The increasing number of research projects strengthens human resources and enables the employment of young researchers, post-docs and administrative staff. As part of the strategic goals for the period 2021-2025, the Faculty is working hard to increase the proportion of interdisciplinary research projects and international recognition.
One of the goals is to bring together different departments, members of different units of the University of Rijeka, and scientists from other national and foreign institutions.
